HRS riders succeed at interschool equestrian competition

The event was held on June 10 and 11 at Eaton Farms in Sun Valley.

Holy Rosary High and Primary Schools learners recently competed in the interschool equestrian competition.

The event was held on June 10 and 11 at Eaton Farms in Sun Valley.

Many of the Holy Rosary riders did well.

Results for the primary school learners are:

  •  Grace Webber placed ninth in equitation, fifth in show jumping and first in show jumping ideal time.
  •  Kate O’Donoghue came 11th in equitation, ninth in show jumping, 12th in show jumping ideal time and fourth and fifth in dressage.
  •  Shelby Dos Santos was awarded 13th position in show jumping and eighth in show jumping ideal time.

Results for the high school learners are:

  •  Tana Leigh Scott was first in equitation, fourth in show jumping, 13th and 14th in test dressage (one and two).
  •  Gaby van der Walt came third in equitation, sixth in show jumping, 20th in show jumping ideal time, seventh and 10th in test dressage (one and two) and fourth and fifth in test Prix Caprilli (one and two).
  •  Kate Metzer placed ninth in equitation, 21st in show jumping, 12th in show jumping ideal time, 12th and 7 in test dressage (one and two) and eighth and ninth in test Prix Caprilli (one and two).
  •  Jade Phillips was awarded the fourth position in equitation, 18th in show jumping and eighth in show jumping ideal time.
  •  Zandri Du Toit came sixth in 1m show jumping, fourth in 1m show jumping ideal time, 17th in 80cm show jumping and 15th in 80cm show jumping ideal time.
