Over 700 learners take part in Saheti Winter Sports Festival

Saheti Primary School‘s 13th annual Winter Sports Festival was held on June 10, with eight schools, with a total of 720 netball and soccer players, taking part.
Pam Lerm, organiser of this year’s festival, said the event catered for learners in the u-10 to u-13 age groups.
“This festival is a nice way to end the sports season,” said Lerm.
The winning netball teams were Hurlyvale Primary School in the u-10 category and Saheti in the u-11 and u-12 categories.
The gold medal winner for the open team category was Hurlyvale; Edenglen Primary took silver.
The overall best netball school was Hurlyvale Primary.
The winning soccer teams were again Hurlyvale Primary School in the u-10 category, Saheti in the u-11 group and Bedfordview Primary School in the u-12 category.
