Assumption Convent participated in the St Andrew’s netball festival

JOBURG – Assumption came second in their pool at the netball festival.

Assumption Convent School was privileged to to participate in the St Andrew’ School for Girls netball festival again.

According to the school’s marketing manager Marinella Sousa, 32 schools participated in the festival.

“The schools were divided into four pools of eight schools. Assumption came second in their pool, resulting in them playing in the championship section,” said Sousa.

Other schools that competed in the championship section were Edenvale High, St Dunstan’s, Kingsridge, Eunice, Krugersdorp, Pretoria Girls High and TWC.

Overall Assumption came sixth. “Marilyn Cilengi [of Assumption] was once again nominated as the player of the tournament for the second year in a row,” said Sousa.
