Ronan set to break records

The 12-year-old Randburg resident and Blairgowrie Primary School pupil has been a member of the Mandeville club for the past six months, where he is coached by Greg Price. He is also instructed by Olympic swimmer Mandy Loots, who helps Ronan with stroke correction.

The 12-year-old Randburg resident and Blairgowrie Primary School pupil has been a member of the Mandeville club for the past six months, where he is coached by Greg Price. He is also instructed by Olympic swimmer Mandy Loots, who helps Ronan with stroke correction.

Ronan has been swimming professionally for four years. During that time, he swam in the Central Gauteng Aquatics (CGA) team and competed in the Dubai Open, where he achieved a top 10 placing for all strokes.

Currently, he is a level 3 swimmer. Competing recently at Ellis Park, he achieved four first places and two second place finishes. Before that, he achieved five first place finishes and one second place finish at the Delville Swimming Pool.
