Bowls clubs play in JBA Midweek League
Tracy Menney from BCC Bowls is the captain for section one of the JBA Midweek League.
Bowling clubs played in the Johannesburg Bowls Association (JBA) Midweek League recently at Jeppe Quondam Bowling Club.
Harold Muller from Bedfordview Country Club (BCC) Bowls had the best points and shot average for the day.
The league still has three more games to play.
Clubs playing in section one of the league are Jeppe Quondam, BCC, Belgravia Bowling Club, Ridge Park Bowling Club, Rand Water Bowling Club and Old Edwardian Bowling Club.
Captain of section one Tracy Menney, from BCC Bowls, said there are other sections for other clubs in the district.
“We started in October of last, playing a round robin each Wednesday,” said Menney.
The section winners will play for position one to four for the Stan Dench Trophy and five to eight for the Jack Rahn Shield.
The league will end in March.
