Real Athletes Tennis Academy trains SA top athletes

The Real Athletes Tennis Academy plays out of BCC Tennis Club in Bedfordview.

The Real Athletes Tennis Academy top athletes had a training session at Bedfordview Country Club (BCC) on October 19.

BCC Tennis Club is one of the strongest clubs in Gauteng, with the men’s A winning the Bundes Lleague in Gauteng Central and the ladies A finishing second.

The club has a number of top players, such as Dillon Salton, who is number one for u-18 nationally.

For the girls, Chanel Simmonds is number one nationally along with Mbali Langa, who is also a top junior in the u-18 category.

Dylan Salton is the number one player in South Africa for u-18.

Tatenda Mutetwa and Taona Mhwandagara are top Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI) athletes for girls as well.

The coaching staff is led by Earl Grainger, former Davis Cup coach.
