The 2019 Soccer and Volleyball Challenge welcomes players from Johannesburg

The 2019 Soccer and Volleyball Challenge is in its ninth year.

The ninth Soccer and Volleyball Challenge was held at Edenvale Sports Grounds on October 19.

The 2019 event saw seven junior soccer teams, 38 senior soccer teams, seven junior soccer teams and 20 volleyball teams join in for this year’s event. With teams participating from all over Johannesburg, it was a tournament that showcased excellent skills and talents.

The women played in a masters over 30 match.

In soccer, Burning Stars A were the winners in age group six to eight, whereas in nine, 10 and 12 age groups Supreme United Football Club were the winners.

Within the senior soccer section, Orlando Pirates 5 took the overall win.

The Crusaders vs Crusaders Legends was a masters match for men over 40.

In the volleyball open, Atlanta Eastleigh Kings won, while in the Volleyball Masters, Delfos Volleyball Club won.

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Volleyball Club were the champions in the ladies section.

The Crusaders lost against Crusaders Legends at 30-17.
The men’s volleyball matches were for men aged 40 and above.
In the 2019 Soccer and Volleyball Challenge, Vula Vula took on Future Squad.
The junior soccer teams played in age groups six to 12, where Burning Stars and Supreme United Football Club came out victorious.
The Mavericks beat Dolphins at 30-21.
The committee members of Pure Fountain Family Church and City Takers who hosted the 2019 Soccer and Volleyball Challenge.
