Edenvale Water Polo Club invites community members to join

“The members of my club have formed a community that is growing rapidly and happily.”

With summer in full swing, community members are invited to dive in and join Edenvale Water Polo Club.

Founded 45 years ago, the club is one of the oldest water polo clubs in the East Rand and has more than 70 registered members ranging from 10 to 68 years of age.

The club has teams ranging from premier (serious players) down to the fourth league.

Training takes place at the club’s home venue, Edenvale Public Pool, and at Reddam House Bedfordview.

They are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.

Most Saturday afternoons, the teams participate in league games (about one hour each) at various venues across Joburg.

Ron Kuipers, the chairperson of the club, said each team competes in competitive and thrilling matches against opposition clubs.

“Besides great polo, it is also a unique way to meet new people.”

“The members of my club have formed a community that is growing rapidly and happily,” said Kuipers

Contact Kuipers on 083 629 3132 or at ron@pmat.co.za for more information about membership fees or to join the club.
