Modderfontein Parkrun celebrates 6th birthday
Approximately 936 participants attended the run.
Modderfontein Reserve Parkrun celebrated its sixth birthday on January 12.
The event was the 317th run held by the Parkrun in Modderfontein Reserve.
Approximately 936 participants attended the run.
Six years ago the Modderfontein Reserve Parkrun opened with only 95 participants.
Organisers of the run expressed their gratitude to the volunteers who made this event possible.
The volunteers included Robert Booth, Jo-Anne Buchner, Bruce Colin D’Arcy, Jen Dalrymple, Wayde Morsink, Tjawa Ndlovu, Russel Resnick, Ward Richards, Colin A Walter, Gareth Watt, Ron White and Derek Hanson who was the photographer of the day.
The 5km run is held every Saturday at 8am although participants should be ready to run by 7.50am.
Interested community members should register on the Parkrun website before their first run and they only need to register once.
