Pre season training begins

The academy will be having trials for boys born in 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Black Aces Football Club of Senderwood have started with their pre-season training.

The football club trains at the Greek Sporting Club.

Academy director for Black Aces Youth Development Academy Tony Dias said the staff is working hard at getting the players ready for the upcoming competitive league.

“The Black Aces Youth Development Academy will be participating in the 2019 academy league and playing against all the top Premier Soccer League Gauteng-based clubs such as Bidvest Wits, Supersport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Highlands Park,” said Dias

He also said they will also play Jomo Cosmos and AmaTUKS, affiliates of the National First Division (NFD). He said the academy has had huge success over the years developing young players who have become household names and have since moved to some of the bigger clubs in the country.

Dias said some players have made it to the country’s leading teams while others have moved abroad.

The academy will have trials for boys born in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
