Jacqui Janse van Rensburg has won the Gold Trophy for Sportsman of the Year for bowls at the Bedfordview Country Club (BCC) on May 9.
Van Rensburg had an exceptional 2017.
She has been chosen by the Johannesburg Bowling Association (JBA) to represent at the Inter districts.
She made it to the semi-finals of the JBA trips and won silver in the Bowls South African Masters tournament.
Van Rensburg made it to the semi-final in the JBA mixed pairs and the singles.
She won gold in the JBA pairs and fours, she has also played in the JBA Masters and won the JBA Meritorious Award.
Van Rensburg has been part of the club for the past seven years.
Colleen Piketh was also nominated for the BCC Sportsman of the Year award.
Peter Kester won the Long Membership Award.
