The Corinthians BWA Basketball Club started out as a social basketball club but five years later they are competing at the highest levels.

The club started at the Greek Sporting Club in 2013.

They are now competing at the highest levels of club basketball in Gauteng.

Patience, determination and hard work have been the leading factors behind this club’s success and undying hunger for greatness.

With founding members Panagiotis Rigopoulos and Clint Maynier, and manager/head coach Gareth Jasson with the help of talented young men, they have been able to make a name for themselves.

Last year they made it to the Inner City Super League (ICSL) division two finals, lost at the end, but won the debut season of the Johannesburg Basketball League (JBL) in the men’s first division.

They have been promoted to the men’s premier division, which they will be competing in this year.

So far in the ICSL they have managed to win their first three games and sit on top of the standings at number one.

In the JBL, they have only managed to win one out of their first three games and sit in mid-table in sixth place.

The club, team and players would appreciate any support they can get from fans and the community, whether it’s coming to games, watching practice runs or following them on their social media page.
