Bedfordview bowlers acknowledged for achievements at Bowls SA Masters Tournament

This year was Tingle’s first appearance at the master’s tournament.

Bowlers from Bedfordview took part in the recent Bowls South Africa Masters Tournament held in Pretoria.

Elma Davis and Colleen Piketh at the prize-giving of the recent Bowls South Africa Masters Tournament held in Pretoria.

The tournament, held at the Wingate Park Country Club, was held between February 9 and 11.

Colleen Piketh, a protea bowler from Bedfordview Country Club and Roxanne Tingle from Belgravia Bowling Club, competed in the event.

Colleen received a silver medal while Tingle received a bronze medal.

Seen here are the South African Commonwealth Games ladies bowling team. The team members are Esme Kruger, Nici Neal, Anneke Snyman, Elma Davis and Colleen Piketh.

The tournament saw the top bowlers in the country face-off against each other.

This year was Tingle’s first appearance at the Masters Tournament.

Later this year Colleen will represent South Africa at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The games are to be held in April in Australia.
