Annual Charity Hat walk to aid local charities

Walkers are asked wear a Christmas-themed hat as there will be prizes up for grabs for the best hat and best dressed dog.

The annual Balwin Charity Hat Walk will take place on Sunday, December 3.

The event will kick off from Jeppe Quondam at 8am.

Entry fees will cost R100 per adult and R70 per child under the age of 12

Dogs on leads are welcome to join their families.

There will be water points for both humans and dogs along the route.

Walkers are asked wear a Christmas-themed hat as there will be prizes up for grabs for the best hat and best dressed dog.

Refreshments will be on sale after the walk and there will be a jumping castle for the children.

Charity beneficiaries for this year’s walk include the Guide Dog Association, A New Hope Dog Rescue, Bedfordview and Germiston SPCA, Little Eden and the Theo Jackson Foundation.
