JVW wins against Soweto side

Janine van Wyk Football Club (JVW) played against Soweto Fabulous on September 2.

Micaela Nunes made her first start for the first team on the day, with her u-16 teammates Jessica Wade and Christedis also making the first team.

Amanda Dlamini and Nompumelelo Nyandeni dominated the midfield which saw JVW having most of the possession.

“With many saved shots on goal from the on-form Soweto goalkeeper, the home side made sure they stopped JVW from scoring.

“Molemo Mashigo managed to break through and scored the only goal of the match in the 47th minute, netting her sixth goal in four matches,” said Lauren Duncan, the Janine van Wyk (JVW) Girl Football Development’s project manager.
