Karate student brings back the gold and bronze

The championships which consisted of karate students from all the Southern African countries was held in Mozambique.

Nicole Virgili was recently awarded Protea Colours for karate by the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee for her participation in the the Region Five Karate Championships

Nicole Virgili has been awarded the Protea Colours for Karakte after she competed in the Region Five Karate Championships.

The championships, which consisted of karate students from all the Southern African countries, were held in Mozambique.

The South African sports confederation and olympic committee (SASCOC) awarded the Protea Colours to the student of Edenvale-based Sensei, Michael Roetz.

She also received a Bronze Medal in Individual Kumite and a Gold Medal for Team Kumite.
