Wilson aims to raise SA flag high in Switzerland

HOUGHTON – The SA champion will represent his country at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St Moritz.

 

Connor Wilson, who attended St John’s College is representing South Africa at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St Moritz, Switzerland.

The championships run until 19 February. The championships were first held in 1931, and they take place every two years.

Wilson was the South African champion last year and this year, and was the top South African racer in the slalom, giant slalom and Super G disciplines.

Fellow teammates Sive Speelman and Elisabeth Olivier will also represent South Africa at the championships, along with 700 athletes from more than 60 countries.
