Local swimmers from the St Andrews Dragons competed in the Eastern Gauteng Aquatic Championships.
The championships took place from December 8 to 12.
With only nine swimmers from the club participating, the team brought home a total of eight medals.
Yasmin De Goede won bronze in the women’s 12 to 13 years age group for the 200m breaststroke.
Jayden Trollope won silver for the 50m breaststroke and bronze for the 100m and 200m breaststroke in the men’s 14 to 15 years age group. Enrico Giuricich won gold for the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly, silver for the 100m butterfly and bronze for the 50m freestyle in the men’s 14 to 15 years age group.
