EBC hosts social games

Visitors and members from the Edenvale Bowling Club came out on November 15 to play some social games of Lawn Bowls at the Edenvale Bowling Club.
The morning games, which saw the bowls players facing off against one another, were enjoyed by all.
According to Mr Armandt du Plessis, it was a lovely morning to be playing bowls.
Mr Geoff Gearing, a visitor from England, said it was a great morning.
He said he really enjoyed the friendliness and camaraderie between all the players.
Mr Brian Burls, a member of the Edenvale Bowling Club, said it was a day where bowlers could enjoy themselves.
Mr Burls said anyone who is interested in participating in the social days is more than welcome to join.
Some of the requirements mentioned by Mr Burls include being a member of a Bowls South Africa-affiliated club and wearing flat shoes.
“Anyone of any age is welcome to join us,” said Mr Burls.
Mr Sebastian Botha, a visitor from Somerset West, said the day was brilliant and fantastic.
Social games take place at the bowls club on:
* Tuesdays at 9.30am (mixed).
* Wednesday at 1.30pm (Men).
* Thursdays at 1.30pm (Men).
* Saturdays at 9.30am (mixed).
* Sundays at 9.30am (mixed).
