Swimming champs bring home medals

The swimming squads from Precision Aquatics train at the Edenglen Virgin Active.

Local swimmers from Precision Aquatics, based in Edenglen, participated at the recent Eastern Gauteng Aquatics (EGA) and Central Gauteng Aquatics (CGA) winter championships.

Matthew Caldwell, Hannah Robertson, Jordyn Dean, Caitlin de Beer, Ethan Heystek and Tiago Correia took part in the two events.

The results for the two events are:

  •  Matthew Caldwell won two gold medals, five silver medals at the EGA champs. At the CGA champs he was awarded two gold medals, four silver medals and a bronze medal.
  •  Hannah Robertson won eight gold medals and a silver medal at the EGA champs.
  •  Jordyn Dean won the 50m breaststroke at EGA champs and a gold medal at the CGA champs.
  •  Caitlin de Beer, Ethan Heystek and Tiago Correia also took part in these champs and posted personal bests in most events.
