Accumulo doing good for charity
The whole weekend was dedicated at raising money to buy a mammography for pink drive.
Bowling for a good cause – that is what the Accumulo Bowls Challenge was all about.
Accumulo held its sixth charity bowls event for Pink Drive on August 19.
The weekend was dedicated to raising funds to buy a mammography for Pink Drive.
“These trucks make a difference for the people in the rural areas who cannot reach women clinics for check-ups – check-ups help with early detection,” said Mr Philip Neville.
This was the fourth year Accumulo has partnered with Pink Drive.
The bowls challenge saw different bowling clubs come together from all over Johannesburg for a weekend of making a difference.
The day was colour-themed, representing different types of cancer.
Mr Neville says he was pleased to see how the challenge has grown and has become a success.
“As a team we worked hard to put the weekend together and also the sponsors have been amazing giving towards the challenges, because most of the stuff is donated, from the prizes, food and even the decor.”
