Gymnasts bounce to new levels of success
Most of the gymnasts competed on both the Double-Mini and Euro trampoline events, in various levels and age groups.
Trampoline gymnasts from the Edenvale-based Gym Masters Gymnasts and Masters Gymnasts Clubs took part in the Gauteng Provincial Trampoline Championships on August 13.
The Gauteng Provincial Championship was a qualifying event to the North Zone event.
This brings together the best trampoline gymnasts from the five northern-most provinces of South Africa.
Most of the gymnasts competed on both the Double-Mini and Euro trampoline events, in various levels and age groups.
They achieved good results, winning numerous medals.
As the gymnasts represented the Eastern Gauteng team, they received regional colours for their accomplishments.
The gymnasts train at the Highway Gardens Community Centre, coached by the Demianenko family and assisted by coaches Michelle Sharples and Kimona Moodley.
