Craig hits the road

He was inspired by his friends who were running the Two Oceans 21km in 2014.

Craig Goslin recently received the Two Oceans Run of the Day award at the Jeppe Quondam Athletics Club Awards.

He finished the run in a time of 4:35;11 which is running 56 km at under five minutes per kilometer.

Craig only joined the athletics club in October last year. “I was introduced to the club by my biokineticist. I ran at school, but started running again recreationally in 2014,” Craig said.

He was inspired by his friends who were running the Two Oceans 21km in 2014.

That was when he decided to run with them for fun.

“I went for a vitality assessment with Clynton van Sittert. He guided and helped me to train correctly for the run. I really enjoyed the 21km and decided to do the 56km in 2015.

“I have completed a number of other races since then. Many of the more experienced members at Jeppe inspire me. Everyone is always incredibly willing to help and offer a word of advice and encouragement,” Craig said.

“I ran my first Comrades Marathon this year and it will always be a very special memory. The Two Oceans Marathon is also a beautiful run,” he said.
