JVW Girls Schools League hosts tournament

JVW Girls Schools League recently hosted its 2016 Schools Annual League Tournament.

The tournament was hosted at Reddam House in Bedfordview and 11 schools participated.

Group stages were played on Saturday, with eight teams qualifying for the final rounds the following day. Ms Lauren Duncan, project manager, said it was a weekend full of girls’ football action, with the standard of football at schools level rising each year.

Edenvale High School took on Assumption Convent in the final match of the tournament. They were crowned winners after their 3-0 win over Assumption Convent.
