Golfers to tee off in support of ASF

Fourball entries will cost R3 000 per entry, which includes lunch and dinner.

The Adaptive Sports Fund (ASF) will host a charity golf day at the Zwartkop Country Club.

The ASF is calling on all golfers, non-golfers and corporates to come and take part in the event, which will be held on June 15.

“Our adaptive sporting equipment will also be on display, so come through and enjoy the day,” said Mr Jeff Yates, the ASF founder and Edenvale resident.

Fourball entries will cost R3 000 per entry, which includes lunch and dinner.

Your secured tee-off time will be announced on receipt of payment. With regards to sponsorship, any company or individual willing to sponsor a hole can advertise and promote your company at any hole at a cost of R2 000 per hole.

The ASF is also asking the community to donate prizes for the event. The prizes should ideally be two or four of a kind.

“Your gift will be acknowledged in our programme and on prize giving,” said Mr Yates.

“If you aren’t able to participate in our golf day, a small donation is another way you can help our organisation grow. Your contribution and involvement will be greatly appreciated,” said Mr Yates.

The organisation, ASF, was established in 2015 to help disabled people to remain active in sports. The objective of the ASF is to raise money to enable the purchase of the required adaptive sports and recreational equipment that is needed for people whose mobility is impaired, but who still wish to partake in sports.

Their motto is “No Limits. Just Life”.
