Exciting podium finish for Toni Jardine
In heat 1, Toni did not have a great start but managed to make some passes to reach second place.
Round 4 of the Monster Energy TRP South African National Motocross Championship was held at Springfield Dirt Mania in Durban.
Despite a bout of flu in the week leading up to the race, Edenvale resident Toni Jardine felt strong and was ready for the event.
In heat 1, Toni did not have a great start but managed to make some passes to reach second place.
She worked hard to close in on the leader, Nanda Swiegers, putting in some of the best lap times she has achieved this year, but in the end she settled for a comfortable second place.
In heat 2, Toni set off on a great start and managed to stick with Nanda for a few laps.
She managed to take second place in the heat to hand her a second place overall finish for the day.
Nanda Swiegers took first overall for the day and Bo-Dene Scott took third.
