Eight medals for local club’s swimmers

Jenne-Lee and Alex performed excellently at the recent 2015 CANA Zone Four Swimming Championships.

Mandeville Dolphins swimmer, Jenna-Lee Lange (12), made waves at the recent 2015 CANA Zone Four Swimming Championships where she bagged two gold, two silver and a bronze medal in the women’s 12 and under age group.

New Mandeville Dolphins swimmer, Alex Ramaala (14), also competed in the event held in Piscina do Alvade in Luanda.

Alex and Jenna-Lee represented South Africa at the championships.

Jenna-Lee won gold in the 50 metre freestyle and 100 metre freestyle events. She also took silver in the 50 metre breaststroke, 200 metre freestyle and 50 metre butterfly events. Her final medal was a bronze in the 100 metre breaststroke event.

Alex Ramaala (14) won three bronze medals in the 13 to 14 age group.

He competed in the 50 metre, 100 metre and 200 metre breaststroke events.

Alex is the son of well-known South African long-distance athlete Hendrik Ramaala, but prefers to make his mark in the pool rather than on the track or road.
