The race consists of a 42.2 kilometre full marathon, a 21 kilometre half marathon, an eight kilometre and four kilometre fun run.
The marathon consists of two laps that encompass Edenvale and Bedfordview, while the eight kilometre and four kilometre race meanders through Senderwood.
The event is presented by the Jeppe Quondam Athletics Club and is organised by Harford Sports Promotions, on behalf of the sponsors Pick n Pay.
All permissions to stage the marathon have been applied for and received.
There will be 35 Ekurhuleni Metro Traffic officers on duty along the route on the day, as well as 100 marshals manning each intersection along the route to assist with traffic management and the safety of runners and motorists.
All churches, businesses and residents along the route have been asked to be aware of the runners in their areas between the hours 6am to 11am.
