Edenvale bowling club takes top awards
In addition, the club was also rewarded as the winners of the Gauteng open men’s fours and runners up of the Gauteng open men’s singles.
The 2013/2014 season for the Edenvale Bowling Club proved to be the best yet.
Not only did the club gain 22 members, including a number of youngsters, it also managed to win a number of competitions in the Ekurhuleni Bowls District.
Among the titles won, were mixed fours, singles, ladies pairs, men’s pairs, Men’s Premier Saturday League and the first division men’s Saturday League.
The club was also rewarded as runners up in the premier women’s division Saturday League, the Saturday League women’s second division and the men’s and women’s trips.
In addition, the club was also rewarded as the winners of the Gauteng open men’s fours and runners up of the Gauteng open men’s singles.
13 members of the Edenvale Bowling Club were also selected to play in the Ekurhuleni Bowls Masters.
The club officially opened its greens for the 2014/2015 season at the beginning of October.
Club membership stands at 250, which includes 40 social members.
Prospective new bowlers are invited to attend free coaching from 9.30pm on Saturdays.
