Stars win 3-1

Pope Stars walloped Malvern Barcelona 3-1 during a friendly game played at Rhodes Park on Sunday last week.

Stars enjoyed good possession in the first half, with Mbongeni “Mbo” Ndlovu holding and distributing the ball from the mid-field.

Even in the second half, when Barcelona seemed to regain some momentum, Mbo was there to intercept the opposition players.

In first few minutes of the second half, Barcelona was bedevilled by poor finishing.

Stars' coach, Shadrecic Zifungo said his players followed his instructions.

“I told them to go out there and do your thing. Hold and pass the ball. We need to win this game,” he said.
