Local gymnasts attend SA invitational
The event was an opportunity for acrobats to perform in a world class venue and gave them the chance to gain valuable experience to build onto greater achievements.
Acrobats from the Edenvale-based Gym Masters Gymnasts and Masters Gymnasts Clubs recently competed in the Indo-Pacific Championship and SA Invitational competition.
The competition was held at the Superbowl in Sun City.
The mixed pair of Bongani Zim and Chelsea Mofsowitz competed in the FIG 13 to 19 age group, while the female pairs of Gemma Calitz and Taylor Ryan, and Sarah Rusch and Lisa Klopper competed in the nine to 16 age category.

The gymnasts train at the Highway Gardens Community Centre in Edenvale and are coached by the Demianenko family. The family is assisted by Michelle Sharples and Sarah Tyler.
