Players prepare for Morocco tournament

The SA Senior National basketball team practised at the Mandeville Sports Complex on May 25, in preparation for a friendly tournament that will take place in Morocco in June.

The eight nations tournament will be held in Agadir.

Teams from Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Iraq, Angola and Senegal will participate in the tournament.

“2014 is a preparation year to evaluate and give some experience of international tournaments to our young or new players,” said the coaching director of Wheelchair Basketball South Africa, Franck Belen.

In addition, 2015 would be a preparation year for the African Championships, to qualify for the 2016 Paralympic Games Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
