Old School repels Invaders

A fired up Old School exercised its dominance when they beat log leaders JDK Invaders by 30 runs in a recent division one fixture of the Last Man Stands (LMS) tournament.

The match took place at Jeppe Quondom on Sunday, May 11.

Old School elected to bat first in the match umpired by Errol Mclean.

Old School batsmen, Vaughn van Berkel and Brett Luck, were the pivotal players in the team when they both scored half centuries.

Van Berkel managed a total of 50 from 27 balls and Luck reached 55 after facing 35 balls.

Old School secured a mammoth score of 182 for the loss of two wickets after 20 overs.

JDK Invaders’ batsman, Roelf Langedyk, managed a total of 28 from 18 balls before being caught. Theuns Wessels managed 18 runs from 15 balls before being run out.

The JDK Invaders ended with 152 for 7 after 20 overs.

Old School will take on the Cricket Gurus in the next fixture at Jeppe Quondam on May 25, while the JDK Invaders will take on the Salty Dutchman on the same day.
