The Bedfordview Rebels beat the Rubber Duckz by 86 runs in the division two fixture of the Last Man Stands (LMS) tournament on Saturday, March 29.

The match was played at Jeppe Quondom and the Bedfordview Rebels batted first. The batting partnership of Jeremy Newton and Warren Openshaw secured the most runs for the Rebels, with a total of 60 runs coming from the pair.

The Bedfordview Rebels ended with a score of 135 for six wickets, after 20 overs.

Kallie Muller and Morne van Rensburg were the first up to bat for the Rubber Ducks.

Kallie was bowled after scoring just eight runs, while Morne was dismissed after scoring 15 runs.

Cobus Scheffer was the Rubber Ducks’ highest scorer with 17, before also being bowled.

The Rubber Duckz were dismissed for a total of 49 after 14.3 overs.

The Rubber Duckz will take on the U/23 Edenvale side at Jeppe Quondam on April 12 at 6pm.

The Bedfordview Rebels will take on Rockafellas SA in the their next fixture, which will also take place on April 12. The match is scheduled to start at 8am.
