Basketball teams hone skills at Edenvale Sports Grounds

The friendly games were hosted to provide each club an opportunity to gain experience playing against new players.

Local teams tested their metal when they faced off in a day of friendly basketball fun.

On September 28 the round robin-styled tournament was played at Edenvale Lions Basketball Academy’s home courts at Edenvale Sports Grounds.

It saw Elba’s Lions, Kempton Park Nights and VUT’s Basketball team participate.

Players clashed at Edenvale Sports Grounds when a friendly Round Robin-styled tournament was played between various teams.

The friendly games were hosted to provide each club with the opportunity to gain experience playing against new players.

Additionally, they were hosted to hone the skills of the players in the build-up of ELBA’s The Vale Tournament.

This year the R1m tournament will be hosted at Ellis Park Stadium from November 27 to December 1.

Leading up to The Vale Tournament, Elba has hosted three activation events which has stirred the basketball community’s excitement.

The activation events were held in Edenvale and Germiston.
