Bedfordview County Club and Bunda FC face off

The main thing is that our players have had fun, have learnt, developed and have made new friendships

Players from Bedfordview County Club’s Football Club U7 team went toe-to-toe when they faced Bunda FC.

Despite giving it their best, BCC lost 2-1. The league match was played on September 14 at the Bedfordview Country Club.

BCC football secretary Luisa dos Santos said both teams played exceptionally well.

“Our U7s have had an awesome season with highs and lows,” said Dos Santos.

“The main thing is that our players have had fun, have learnt, developed and have made new friendships. It’s what junior football should be about.”

Discussing the club’s hopes for the team, Dos Santos said with two games remaining BCC hopes that the U7’s will continue to play their best.

“All around, it has been a good season and players are looking forward to their prize-giving in October,” said Dos Santos.

Results for BCC’s junior teams from the weekend:
• U6 league two won 4–1 against Rovers.
• U6 league two lost 4-1 against Olympiacos.
• U9 premier drew 2–2 against Kempton Park.
• U12 league one drew 2-2 against Alberton.
• U11 league two won 2-0 against Benoni Northerns.
• U11 league five drew 7-7 against Alberton.
• U11 league three drew against Benoni Spurs.
• U13s won 4–1 against Alberton.
