Belgravia Bowling Club hosts tournament

The winners will receive certificates at the end of the season.

The Belgravia Bowling Club held an in-house tournament where the players showcased their mettle.

The tournament started on June 29, with the novices playing in a round-robin format.

The finals took place on June 30.

The winners will receive certificates at the end of the season.

The bowlers enjoy the fun competition.

Tournament organiser Linda van den Berg said the seasoned players and newcomers enjoyed the event.

“We are happy with the turnout and how exciting the game was.

“The game was open to young people, and we are always looking for new members,” said Van den Berg.

Beyond the in-house tournament, members participate in various competitions, including those organised by the Johannesburg Bowling Association.

The Belgravia Bowling Club plays host to an in-house tournament.

“If people want to join, they can phone our secretary. She will organise to meet them at our bowling club. Then she will coach them,” added Van den Berg.

They play on Tuesdays from 09:00 and on weekends.
