Rugby legends lauch a brandy

Rugby legends come together to establish their brandy.

The year 2023 will be remembered for the euphoric moment of the Springboks going back-to-back by winning their fourth Rugby World Cup.

With this sweet taste of victory also came the launch of Avante Brandy.

Avante Brandy held their first member event in South Africa at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club recently.

This proudly South African potstilled VSOP brandy was created by a group of global rugby superstars, who also have four rugby world cups between them.

With a team of 15 founders comprising rugby legends such as John Smit, George Gregan, Butch James, Jean de Villiers, Schalk Brits, Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mapimpi, they have a collective on-field reputation of facing all challenges and coming out victorious.

This is something that is represented in the name ‘Avante’, but also something that is being used to move forward to another field of success.

“Rugby is a sport like none other, regardless of how confrontational and fierce the competition is on the field, the camaraderie off of it is what always makes it special.

“It is this very spirit that Avante is all about and with our Avante Guarde member events, we give fans a chance to meet and engage with their favourite players in a relaxed and personal setting,” shared ex-Springbok captain John Smit.
