Local golfer scoops three awards at SA Kids Golf

Local athletes excel at various sporting tournaments.

Local golfer Keisha Kagoro walked away with three awards at the SA Kids Golf annual prize giving in the girls’ division 13 -14 age group.

The event took place at the Silver Lakes Golf Estate on November 5.

The Balderstone Sports Institute (BSI) learner was awarded first place for most improved. She came second for the most points and second for the best stroke average.

Another notable win for the school was Godfrey Nsubuga securing first place at the Stanbic Bank Entebbe Amateur Open, Lakeside Entebbe GC, Uganda.

The school’s marketer, Roger King said, “Congratulations to our home club, Royal Johannesburg and their first Scratch League team for being crowned Central Gauteng Golf Union A division winners.

“Well done to Sean Paxton, Titouan Tregouet, Jacques van der Merwe and Gilbert Chalwe, who were part of the back-to-back winning team.

“Also, a big congratulations to our tennis academy players Morgan Maré, Tsepang Monama (both boys U15), and Janine Ramiah (girl U15) who were all placed in the top seven at the recent Gauteng East Schools Interprovincial trials.”
