Residents’ learners licence test postponed due to system offline

City of Ekurhuleni offers more insight into booking for your learners licence.

EDITOR’S COMMENT – CoE spokesperson Themba Gadebe commented as follows:

The eNatis system was offline. The system has been off several times in February.

This problem was experienced by all the licensing centres nationally.

The Bedfordview licensing is part of CoE, all the technical occurrences that result to the system going offline are reported to the responsible technical team as well as to all relevant offices in the CoE.

Usually, if the problem is technical and cannot be resolved, all the tests affected will be rescheduled for another day and applicants will be notified accordingly.

Tests are done on Saturdays, but Saturday is overtime and not compulsory.

Overtime must be pre-approved and the service rendered on Saturdays is based on staff complement.

Mostly our centres operate on the first three Saturdays of the month. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, the situation was beyond our control.
