President asked to lead businesses

“We have to change the fortunes of the millions of disenfranchised poor.”

EDITOR – As the election is wrapped we must celebrate another milestone in South Africa’s history; a democratic election.

President Cyril Ramaphosa got his mandate to continue the work he is doing, but all this with a caveat.

We have to change the fortunes of the millions of disenfranchised poor.

Only one thing will fix this country, only one thing will change South Africa for the better. And that is economic growth.

Economic growth can only happen with business friendly policies on the part of Government and a commitment from business to be a catalyst for job creation and the betterment of the country.

I call on our President as the leader of the ANC and soon to be re-appointed leader of our country, please heed our call as businesses.

It is that easy. You got our vote, you have our support, lead us, it’s up to you now.

Let’s put South Africa first.

JA Baladakis,

Head of the Hellenic section of the Hellenic Italian and Portuguese (HIP) Alliance.
