Service delivery questioned at Bedfordview Licensing Department

Their service delivery is of a very low standard.

EDITOR – I want to complain about the Bedfordview Licensing Department.

Their service delivery is of a very low standard.

A bit more than a month ago I was there one afternoon to renew a vehicle licence and their systems were offline.

I asked for the form to be completed for a vehicle licence renewal since I hadn’t received a renewal notice from them.

They gave me a document to be completed.

When I went back in the last week of August, the licensing department was closed completely with notices on the gate that say they are closed due to a shortage of computers.

That particular day I had to drive to the licensing department in Wadeville only to find out the document I was given at the Bedfordview branch was just half of the document I needed to complete.

I finally received my vehicle licence from the Wadeville branch.

The afternoon of September 21 I arrived at the Bedfordview licensing department for another vehicle licence for which I had not received a renewal notice.

The time was 2.45pm.

As I wanted to enter the premises the security stopped me and said they are closed.

I asked him how they can be closed if it wasn’t 3pm yet.

He said the manager said they must close the gates and not let anyone else enter the building.

I asked to speak to the manager to find out what is happening and the security guy said he will call the manager.

By 3.05pm I was still waiting at the gate with no manager in sight to come and see me.

I left the Bedfordview branch without my vehicle licence once again.
