EDITOR – I want to share a good news story about the officers at the Edenvale Police Station with you and your readers.
I have lived in the area for 11 years and have often had to call on the police there for help with certification of papers, police clearance and family matters.

On Sunday evening, September 2, the police responded to a family emergency with the utmost care, consideration and kindness that could ever be expected from them.
In particular, Capt Rambuda and W/O Dibete helped us beyond the call of duty to find a safe place for a family member who was psychotic and in desperate need of medical care.
I cannot express my gratitude to these two men sufficiently.
The way in which they dealt with the family was compassionate and professional.
I wanted to let the community know that I have always experienced the utmost professionalism from the police at Edenvale and the members of the Community Police Forum at the station.
I want to thank them publicly for all they did to help us over the weekend.
