EDITOR – Approximately a week ago I received a complaint from a resident at my complex.
They were driving through the security checkpoint at the Mannie Road entrance of the Isandovale road closure and noticed a Mamba reaction officer relieving himself outside the portable toilet provided, fully exposing himself to the public.
This at a time when school children were walking by, including a little girl of approximately seven years old.
Is this the kind of respect the Mamba officers have for our children, that they can perform this type of act in public and think absolutely nothing of it?
I have run into Mamba officers previously, making illegal u-turns and stopping at inappropriate places to offer lifts to women walking along the roadway.
Following the complaint, I called the Mamba offices and spoke with a Gordon who advised that I should send an email explaining the problem.
However, I decided to use this platform instead as I have complained about Mamba officers previously and in my opinion, think that Mamba management are a bit slow to react.
Furthermore, I believe the public should be made aware of the quality of the Mamba officers and that this is the type of individual employed to keep our neighbourhood safe.
My next stop is most definitely the Edenvale SAPS to report a case of indecent exposure.
