SPCA says thank you

The SPCA thanked organisations for all their support.

EDITOR – There is so much going on at the Bedfordview and Germiston SPCA at the moment.

We have received such amazing support from quite a few places recently.

We send a special thank you to The Keg and Crow Restaurant and Pub at the Key West Centre in Bedfordview.

Our recent fundraisers have included two fun-filled evenings of PaintNite, as well as an Easter Chocolate Vodka Promotion, a FuzeBall Promotion and tin collections.

Pick n Pay Primrose has also been amazing by providing help to our SPCA by assisting with donations and allowing us to hold weekly book sales at their entrance. They allow us to collect small change at their till points and we are so grateful for their on-going support for our cause.

We also thank Crabtree Electrical and Aberdare Cables. They generously donated thousands of Rands worth of materials needed to run the electricity into our kennels, to power the heaters.

Winter is a very difficult time for all animals, especially those out in the cold with no protection from the elements.

We ask our supporting community to donate blankets, kennels, collars, leads and ice-cream containers to use as bowls in order for us to take to animals in the poorest informal settlements in our area.

These animals are the ones that suffer the most when the true cold hits. Please help us help them.

Donations can be dropped off at the SPCA at 12 Junction Road, Driehoek, or at Pick n Pay Primrose Square.

Those who wish to sponsor a heater – the cost is R300.
