Grateful residents thank Edenvale SAPS

The four of us were eventually tied and locked in a bedroom when they fled with many items.

EDITOR – My wife and myself were unfortunately held up at gun point in an armed robbery on Friday, December 6.

We were leaving a friend’s house in Third Avenue, Edenvale, after dinner at around midnight when two armed guys attacked us at the back door when we opened up.

This was a horrific experience which lasted almost two hours.

The four of us were eventually tied and locked in a bedroom when they fled with many items.

Once we managed to get out, we immediately contacted the Edenvale SAPS.

They were really good in dealing with the matter.

They arrived at the house in less than five minutes and there were three vehicle involved.

Their concern for us was very apparent and the manner in which they approached the whole affair is commendable.

They acted in an efficient and professional manner, for which we thank them.

I have been in contact with Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts to express our satisfaction.

The names of all the officers are known.

Also, Top Security arrived promptly after calling them and supported the SAPS well.

They also stayed with us for many hours, ensuring our safety.

We thank them.
