Editor – I would like to complain about the behaviour of the Ekurhuleni “garbage collection” staff.

I have witnessed one of them urinating on someone’s wall while collecting garbage – urinate at the depot before your route, or stopping and asking to use the toilet used by security guards at the booms.

Act civilised, people are driving/walking past or dropping children off at school I have also seen them riding, hanging off the truck while holding onto the trolley bins and then flinging them away, while the truck is moving.

This results in these expensive bins breaking laying wherever they landed, even in the road.

Other problems include garbage falling on the road and it being left where it falls. The trucks stop in the middle of the road, to load bins and they block traffic on both sides of the road.

Bins are left “doors” away. I pay for this important service. I expect good service.
