Traffic officials lazy with enforcing law?

Most of the motorcycles that were on the scene did not have number plates.

EDITOR – We often hear of traffic police officials hiding behind bushes trying to catch speeding motorists.

On July 6 and 7 a motorcycle show was held in Germiston where hundreds of visitors arrived on motorcycles.

Most of the motorcycles that were on the scene did not have number plates.

There was a single traffic officer with one police vehicle on the scene. The fine for not displaying a registration plate is from my understanding R200.

The traffic police could have made a lot of money by reinforcing the law. Was this bad planning by the traffic department or were the traffic police inefficient and lazy with enforcing the law?
