Isandovale, the forgotten suburb

When we had load shedding recently, we were off for five-and-a-half hours, while most other Ekurhuleni suburbs where off for two hours.

EDITOR – After downloading the load shedding schedules from Eskom and Ekurhuleni, I noticed Isandovale is nowhere to be found on the list.

Last week when the Bedfordview and Edenvale NEWS came out, it was the same thing – Isandovale was not on the list.

One cannot assume we fall in the same area as Isando, Edenglen, Sebenza or Croydon, the four suburbs that border Isandovale, as that did not work either.

When we had load shedding recently, we were off for five-and-a-half hours, while most other Ekurhuleni suburbs where off for two hours.

I work from home so it is a little disconcerting to find that we do not exist and they cannot remember where the Isandovale switch is when it is time to put us back on.

I know it is only a small suburb but we pay exorbitant rates and taxes like everyone else.

ISANDOVALE RESIDENT.
