Pupils donate to Edenvale Hospice

EDITOR – It is truly difficult to find the right words to express our gratitude to the pupils of Holy Rosary School.

Thank you seems inadequate to show our appreciation of the girls’ wonderful generosity in collecting a veritable mountain of food which was recently delivered.

We run a 13-bed ward for terminally ill patients, whom the provincial hospitals and some private hospitals are no longer prepared to treat.

These patients come from all walks of life, but mostly from disadvantaged communities, with no one to take care of them.

Our aim is to enable them to live the last days of their lives by being cared for, stress free and dying with dignity and pain free.

The school’s generous gesture is greatly appreciated and will certainly go a long way in helping our organisation continue with this essential work.
